This charming tea house and Chinese restaurant offers a vibrant menu that bridges traditional tastes with a modern dining experience, set in a warm, family-run atmosphere that makes every guest feel right at home.

The menu bursts with a rich variety of dishes that showcase the depth and diversity of northern Chinese flavors. Begin your culinary journey with crowd favorites like Guo Bao Rou—crispy sweet and sour pork that delivers that perfect balance of tanginess and crunch. Don’t miss the savory 京東肉餅 (meat pancakes) and the vibrant BBQ Pork with String Beans. For lovers of bold spices, Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken ignite the palate with fiery yet harmonious layers of flavor.

The restaurant’s specialty clay pots are an absolute must-try. Whether it’s the comforting Sour Cabbage Beef or the hearty Sour Cabbage Lamb, each simmered to tender perfection, these dishes envelop you in the essence of traditional home cooking. Guests frequently praise the generous portions, with many noting that the serving sizes are more than enough to satisfy hungry appetites without overspending. As Kelly Johnson enthuses, the food not only tastes incredible but is served with love and genuine care from the chef and staff—an aspect that truly elevates the dining experience. The family-owned vibe is evident, supported by the clever and endearing “Do not rush us” signs that invite patrons to savor every bite without hurry.

While the service sometimes reflects the humble, heartfelt nature of a family-run establishment—with some wait times—the quality of the food consistently wins over diners, drawing people even from distant corners of the Dallas-Fort Worth area as Di Wu attests. This enduring appeal comes from the authenticity that food lovers seek, whether it’s the handmade noodles, the tender Chinese buns, or the carefully crafted pickles that add depth and nostalgic comfort.

In all, Boba Tea and Flavor of Asia delivers a captivating taste of northern China right in the heart of Texas. From the sizzling chicken to the tangy papaya salad and the crispy basil chicken popcorn, each dish invites you to embark on a sensory journey rich with tradition and heartfelt craftsmanship. Whether you’re craving a fulfilling meal or a refreshing bubble tea treat, this is a place that invites you to slow down, indulge your senses, and experience the true flavors of home-cooked Chinese cuisine.

The BEST restaurant featuring northern Chinese cuisines in the DFW! I would give 10 stars if I could. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. The price is extremely reasonable and you can feel the chef loves what he does and he knows what he’s doing. All of the dishes are delicious. I also find the signs of “Do not rush us” anywhere very cute. It looks like a family owned business so it’s understandable they could be stressed if people rush them in busy hours. Definitely will come back.

Best northern style Chinese cuisine in DFW area for sure! Worth driving 50min. Service is definitely limited but they tried, had to wait long time for the food but it’s posted on their menu and entrance to let you know ahead. Will definitely come back.

Authentic northern Chinese food and lovely chef family. The quantity is huge. Their handmade noodles, meat pancakes, string beans, Guo Bao Rou and other dishes are all wonderful. I love sweat and sour fish. If you seek authentic Chinese food, this place is a great place.

The food was delicious. As a Chinese, the food here is Chinese food. The noodles are most likely homemade. I forgot to ask. I had it before , the pickle was home made so I ordered Lamb soup with pickle. The Chinese buns are so chewy and tasty. And they are huge. The servers were very friendly and they helped me to make choice.
